PlayStation Development

Group Assessment

To date creating 'Light Souls' has been one of my all time favourite projects. I helped make 'Light Souls' at uni for our final assessment of the year in 2020. I worked on texturing assets and level design. Whilst also directing my group. We spent 10 weeks creating the Playstation game and we were featured in Billy Blues "Highlight: 2020 Student Games Showcase" where they commended our efforts.

Alien Bust

3D character modelling- zbrush

I created this alien bust in Zbrush and practiced using organic modelling techniques. After rendering the final product I imported it into photoshop to adjust some final details and brighten the colours in the eyes and face.
For the final submission I received a HD with a commendation for the high resolution dynamesh and for the overall model.

Wooden Pier

3D modelling wooden pier- zbrush

I modelled this wooden pier in Zbrush for an assessment task back in 2020. It was a collaboration piece with another student who modelled the stone base. I maintained contact with the student throughout the time we completed the task and we were given a HD for the final submission.
I learnt a lot about using zbrush and I was also able to put the use of reference images into practice. Not only did I have reference photos for the actual design and layout of the piece but also the style of wood and barnacles needed for the set.

Vanish Marketing Game

Group Project

Vanish was a mobile game prototype where the brief was to select a brand and create a game that could be used for marketing purposes. My group consisted of a coder, myself and another artist. We created a game that shows Vanish stain removers effectiveness by having the player use the vanish bottle to spray away stain 'monsters' on a t-shirt. It took us 2 weeks to complete the prototype and we received high distinctions for the assessment. I designed the layout of the game, and created the stain monsters which were animated, the main spray bottle 'character' and its animations, the spray bottle volume bar, and animated the bubble health bar.

3D face Model

Image Subtitle

I created this 3D face model using Maya in my second year of study at Torrens University. The focus was on organic modelling techniques and becoming familiar with the structure of a face. The brief also required us to create a mask. I wanted my mask to resemble that of a broken doll and I was really happy with the final design.

HP Jacket

Handpainted Denim Jacket

I come from a traditional art background and felt it was important to show some work that is outside of my digital capabilities.
I used fabric paint to create the Harry Potter scene on a recycled denim jacket. It was a personal piece I created during the 2020 COVID lockdown as I had a desire to do something creative with my time. I've always enjoyed painting and settings like this one can be easily translated into concept art for video games.

'black fox' LOGO DESIGN.png

Black Fox Logo

Small Business Logo Design

During 2020's COVID lockdown I had the opportunity to work on some paid jobs. For the "Black Fox" logo design the brief was a simple black fox that is easily identified and not too detailed. The client was really happy with the piece. We spend a few weeks bouncing ideas and drafts back and forth where he then decided this was perfect for his business. I really enjoy collaborating with clients and discussing ideas and concepts to create the perfect final product.

Florist Logo

Small Business Logo Design

The logo for "Maddbunchco." was also another job opportunity I got whilst in the COIVD lockdown. The florist logo started as a simple M with a flower and slowly developed to this full coloured image you can see today. The client wanted something more intricate and I was able to add the personal touch of the African daisies, being her favourite flower rather than sticking to traditional roses which are often overused in florist designs. It was another job that I really enjoyed discussing with the client exactly what they wanted, and I was happy I could bring their vision to life.
